Applications for the Graduate Program are accepted once a year in the fall for admission in the fall of the following year. MA applications are due on February 15.

SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO THE DEPARTMENT:

1.  Departmental application to the master's program.

2.  Official transcript(s) of all college work other than CSUS.

3.  Electronic Submission
    Applicants can submit documentation of their work in the form of CD-ROm (Mac-compatible)
    or DVD (NTSC format only). Use a CD-ROM for still images and a DVD for time-based media. 
    Each may be submitted, but if submitting both, please indicate one as primary and the other 
    as supplementary. The primary disk will be reviewed first, and supplemental materials may 
    or may not be reviewed.

    CD-ROM submission
    CD-ROMs should contain 20 JPG format images less than 2.5 megabytes each. Please size to
    1024 pixels (14.22 inches) on the longest side, at 72ppi. Label each file with your last
    name, the first letter of your first name, and the slide number (e.g., Doe_J_01.jpg). 
    Please enclose a corresponding list in hard copy identifying each work by number, title,
    dimensions, medium, completion date, and any other relevant information.

    In addition, applicants may also include a PowerPoint Presentation Package of the same
    slides: self-contained, with black or white background only and with no transitions between
    slides. On the bottom right of each slide, number the slide with the number corresponding
    to the list in hard copy. This corresponding hard copy list should identify each work by
    number, title, dimensions, medium, completion date, and any other relevant information.

    DVD Submission
    Video and audio material submitted on DVD should include one 3.5-minute preview and two
    full-length projects. The two full-length projects are supplementary and may or may not
    be reviewed. Please enclose a corresponding reel list in hard copy identifying each work 
    in order, with tittles, running time, completion date, and any other relevant information. 
    DVDs should be in NTSC format.


NOTE: THE ART DEPARTMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INTERVIEW EACH APPLICANT.

THE INTERVIEW WOULD BE IN PERSON WITH A COMMITEE OF STUDIO FACULTY.
