Faculty

The faculty in the Photography Program have diverse and extensive expertise with knowledge pulled from across the country and right here in California. They are active in the field through research, and practice.

Sharmon Goff | Professor

Sharmon teaches upper and lower division photography classes as well as INTD 20. Her large format color photographs have been reproduced in numerous publications and shown at local and international galleries and museums including: The Crocker Art Museum, The Photographic Art Center, Sacramento, Pennsylvania State University, The Ledel Gallery, New York, The Chinese Photographic Association Gallery, Beijing, Camerawork, San Francisco and The Chautauqua Galleries, New York.

Doug Dertinger | Assistant Professor

Doug’s research and creative work focus on land use and community. His work has been shown nationally and internationally, and is in the permanent collections of the Princeton University Art Museum and St. Mary’s University Art Gallery, Nova Scotia. He has taught at a variety of institutions across the U.S., joining the faculty of Photography at CSUS in 2008.
